The Dead Sea is unique, the atmosphere is special and the apartment is within 40 minutes drive of the capital Amman and the main airport. it is also a brilliant base for exploring Northern Jordan -- the baptism site, Mount Nebo, Makawir and Herod's Castle, Jordan's extinct volcano, Lot's Cave, the Madaba mosaic, Wadi Mujib, the Jordan Valley, Umm Qais etc.

BEST SLEEP -- because the Dead Sea is 400 metres below sea level, the atmospheric pressure is higher and there is more oxygen in the air, as well as more magnesium and bromine, which tend to reduce tension; the air is unpolluted, there are hardly any allergens, and the humidity is usually low.

SAFER SUNBATHING -- the sun's rays have further to travel! which means they are more scattered; this is enhanced near the Dead Sea itself by the evaporation haze of protective aerosols; the result is a reduction in the intensity of the harmful lower wavelength UVB rays.

THERAPEUTIC SWIMMING -- normal sea-water has 3% salt, the Dead Sea 32%, with high concentrations of magnesium, calcium, bromine, and potassium; it's restful and good for the skin and painful joints, as well as the circulatory system. Black Dead Sea mud has these same properties and is wonderful for cleansing and softening your skin.
